Welcome the new Trimester

 

September

We will complete the following assignments during the first 3 weeks of the trimester:

• Line worksheet 

• Expressive line assignment 

• Directional line assignment 

• "Picasso" drawing

• Contour line drawing

• Line Enviroment 

• Test on the Art Element of Line

 

Week ONE 

• Introductions

• Forms: Concussion awareness, student information sheet, school planner acknowledgement form - these need to be signed by parents and students and handed in by this Friday

 

Weeks 1-2

Coat of arts name tags for storage totes.

Class activity to look at art and determin how artists use line in their artwork

Intoduction to the Art Element of Line.  Texbook and worksheet assignment - Line

Expressive Line assignment  (see assignment link on the page for Line)

Directional line assignement  (see assignment link on the page for Line)

 

Week 3-4

• Picasso drawing

• Contour Line drawings

• Introduction to a Large 40-point project. Work time 4- 5 days

• Line Test

 

October

We will complete the following Assignments during Octover:

• Color worksheet- 15 pts

• Group color poster  - 15 pts

• Color wheel- 20 pts

• Color Painting assignment- 50 pts

 

Week 1-3

1. Color intoduction and Group poster

2. Color texbook reading and worksheet

3. Intoduction to the color wheel

4. Color wheel Painting, this will take approximately 4-5 days

5. Large Color Project, approximately 5 days

6. Test on the art element of color
