Week one

Introduction to Photoshop!

 

Learning Tasks:

During this week we will be exploring the painting tools, selection tools, and layer tools. We will be learning how to zoom in and out of files, how to use the transformaiton tools, pick colors, customize paint brushes, and learning many, many shortcuts.

 

Lessons: Compose an 8.5" x 11" collage using the teacher files provided. Use all of the selection tools. Name the layers you create. Transform selections as needed.

 

Week Two

Introduction to Photoshop's painting tools -Complete Unit 11, Classroom in a book

Introduction to Masks and Channels - complete unit 6 classroom in a book

quiz - Layers, selections and photoshop tool bar

 

Week Three

Daily demonstrations:

• Shadows

• Glows

• Clone tool

• Color alterations

• Transformation tools

• Correction tools

First small assignment to use as many newly acquired Photoshop skills as possible

 

Large Projects/Composition Artworks:

• Digital Mandala Composition

• Illustration Assignment

• Graphics Pieces:

  • Poster design

  • Album Parody

• Social issue piece

• Surrealism composition
