Social Issue Digital Assignment

Def:  Social Justice:  A movement towards a socially just world. Social justice is based on the concepts of human rights and the rigging of equality.

 

A picture or piece of artwork is a very powerful vehicle for communication. Artists often create artwork to communicate their stance on an issue or try to make you think with visual images.  For this art lesson you are going to choose a social injustice to communicate through the image you create in Photoshop.  Here are some suggested topics:

 

• Poverty

• Tolerance

• Violence and Bullying

• Racism

• Environmental Racism

• Lifestyle

 

Creating: 

Researches then identify the social injustice you want to communicate and teach us about. Take pictures, draw, and/or use words to create a strong visual about your topic.
