When making a pinch pot, you will use a hand-building technique that involves
squeezing the clay between the fingers and thumb.​

GUIDELINES: You will be creating a rattle, which is made from two pinch pots scored and slipped together then adding a few small clay spheres inside (wrapped in newspaper).

 

• The finished piece will include additive and subtractive decoration, carving, pattern, and texture. 

• Be detailed and neat in your construction. 

• Be specific and realistic, so have an image to look at.
